WHAT DOES VLT MEAN ACCORDING TO OHIO STATE LAW

OHIO TINT LAW 2021 (OH) | The percentage of light that a window tint film allows to pass through car windows is called the VLT (Visible Light Transmission). Each state has different legal allowable limits. The amount of visible light allowed into an Ohio-legal vehicle can be measured using laws from Leesville OH. Which specify ranges for both passenger vehicles as well as multi-purpose ones.

A higher VLT means that more light can pass through the window tint film. For example, a 75% film will allow 75% of all visible light while only blocking 25%. A 5 percent darkens up to 250-times better than traditional windows!
