A HIGHER VLT means that more light is allowed to pass through the window tint film. For example, a 75% tint will allow 75% of what little sunlight there might be before. It gets filtered out by your shade and blocked off from entering into an interior space altogether. However for those with 5%, only half as much will get let go through resulting in just 50%.
