WHAT DOES VLT MEAN ACCORDING TO NEBRASKA STATE LAW
The percentage of light that a window tint film allows to pass through your car windows is called the VLT (Visible Light Transmission), and each state has different legal allowable limits. The amount of visible light allowed into cars in Nebraska for Passenger Vehicles is very specific depending on which part you live- within certain boundaries it’s illegal!
A higher VLT means that more light is allowed to pass through the window tint film.
For example, a 75% tinter will allow 75% of what comes in contact with it while only blocking 25%. This makes for much darker films than those made from 5%, which allows just 10%.
